The following is a description of the Units Management in Asset Management. For organizations that wish to use the CapaInstaller database as their primary repository for details about all of their networked hardware, CapaInstaller enables managers to establish any number of device categories and populate each of them with any number of devices. As with all other hardware and software units, managers can store details, such as purchase date, supplier, warranty conditions, comments, and attached documents, for each device listed in the database. Units are defined as something you can deploy software to and collect information about.
The CapaInstaller Console enables you to view hardware installations for all of the computers in your network. The hardware is divided into different logical groups out of the box. The Unit Management view enables you to view:
